Welcome to vc_on

viennacontemporary is going online with vc_on

vc_on by viennacontemporary is taking art from Vienna, Central and Eastern Europe online. We connect galleries with institutions, buyers and art aficionados from all over the world via viewing rooms and the digital expansion of viennacontemporary’s special sections, talks and events.

New perspectives
with Z-Series

Francesca Gavin, who co-curated The Historical Exhibition at Manifesta 11 and has curated exhibitions at institutions like Palais de Tokyo, presents vc_on’s online exclusive Z-Series.

Balancing aesthetics and conceptual inventiveness, Z-Series is an experimental platform with a hand-picked selection of accessible works by emerging names and yet-to-be-discovered young talents.

Explorations: prolific positions from the 60s & 70s

For the second time, Explorations presents pointed presentations of artistic positions from the 60s and 70s.

Curated by Elisa R. Linn and Lennart Wolff, this year’s edition will feature works by artists like Diet Sayler (RO, GER), Tamás Konok (HU), André Verlon (AT) and Vera Molnár (HU, FR) by selected European galleries.

ZONE1: young artists connected to Austria

ZONE1 is one of the highlights at viennacontemporary. This year, vc_on takes ZONE1 online.

Curator Cathrin Mayer presents eight positions of young artists under 40 with special connections to the Austrian art scene.

viennacontemporary Video

Curated by Jan Kratochvil, viennacontemporary Video raises one of the most pressing questions of the year: “Where Do We Find Ourselves…”

One thing, though, is certain: Our Video section will be presented on vc_on.
